BIOGRAPHY

Carolina Rosario is a bilingual journalist. She is currently the anchor for Univision Network's Sunday morning show  "Despierta America en Domingo" and co-anchor for Noticias 24/7 Primetime on the VIX streaming service from Monday to Friday.

 

Previously, she has worked as a correspondent for the international newsmagazine "Primer Impacto" and  the award winning national newscast "Noticiero Univision". Before, she was a reporter for Noticias 23 in Miami. 

 

Rosario is a native of Puerto Rico. She covered Latino voters and elections. She interviewed the President of Guatemala Alejandro Giammattei and many other politicians. She has covered the White House and the Congress of the

United States for Noticiero Univision.

 

Rosario worked covering the protest and removal from office of the Governor of Puerto Rico Ricardo Rosello as well as the financial crisis  in the island. She also spent months in the island covering Hurricanes Irma and Maria . She covered many other Hurricanes and natural disasters around the United States, where she compromised her own safety to bring a firsthand account of the events as they unfolded.

 

Rosario got an exclusive interview with the youngest daughter of Mexican singer Jose Jose hours after his dead. She also was the first person to sit down with the family of the rapper Kevin Fret who was murdered in Puerto Rico. She did an exclusive interview with the 8 American survivors of a deadly rafting accident in Costa Rica.

 

 Her dedication and commitment has been recognized multiple times, nominated 8 times for the Emmy® Award.  Among them for best interview,  investigative reports and breaking news coverages. 

 

Rosario holds a Bachelors degree from Florida International University School of Broadcasting Journalism.
